Businessman Johann Rupert is expected to form part of a meeting that is scheduled for tomorrow between SA President Cyril Ramaphosa and US President Donald Trump in Washington, DC.
According to News24, Rupert was instrumental in securing the meeting between the two Presidents, whose relationship deteriorated when 49 Afrikaners who were granted refugee status under the false claim that they were being discriminated against and were alleged victims of a genocide taking place in South Africa.
Ramaphosa arrived in Washington yesterday with a delegation that included Minister of International Relations Ronald Lamola, Trade and Industry Minister Parks Tau, Agriculture Minister John Steenhuisen, and Minister in the Presidency Khumbuzo Nthavheni to oppose those allegations.
