SA to open against Afghanistan as U19 Cricket World Cup 2026 groups and fixtures announced



JOHANNESBURG - Kaizer Chiefs U23 team has been crowned the champions of the 10th edition of the DStv Diski Challenge.
The Amakhosi youngsters wrapped the 2024/25 season by securing the title with a resounding 5-0 victory over Amazulu FC in the league final which was played at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto on Sunday, May 4.
Finishing top of the table with 70 points from 28 games, Chiefs claimed their first-ever Diski Challenge title since the tournament was launch in 2014.
Stellenbosch FC, the defending champions, finished second with 63 points, while Mamelodi Sundowns took third place with 58 points.
The Diski Challenge has a proven track record of nurturing talent, with notable players like Relebohile Mofokeng, Mohau Nkota, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Mduduzi Shabalala, and Shandre Campbell who is currently playing for Club Brugge in Belgium having benefited from the tournament.
