Police Appeal for Information on Suspect Linked to Student Shooting

Parkweg Police in Bloemfontein is appealing to the public for assistance in locating an African male known only as “Tsumbeza”. 

The man is wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of a Motheo TVET College student.

Police Spokesperson Sinah Mpakane said the female student was fatally shot during an incident at a guest house in Botshabelo. 

She says the victim later succumbed to her injuries a week after the shooting.

Mpakane also said that on the day of the incident, Tsumbeza was driving a white Toyota RAV4 with registration number SVM595GP.

 “He was accompanied by another African male known as Tenda, who is alleged to being the deceased boyfriend. 

“The two are believed to be somewhere around Gauteng or Limpopo,” said Mpakane. 

SAPS is calling on members of the public to assist in the investigation as authorities continue efforts to establish the circumstances surrounding the student’s death.

 “Anyone with information that can assist with information of whereabouts of the two persons of interest is requested to contact investigating officer Sergeant Thabo Litsoane at 0796067820, or Crime Stop on 08600 10111, or can report anonymously on MySAPSApp,” said Mpakane.
