The ANC in Thabo Mofutsanyana District will host a regional local government summit at the Golden Gate National Park between 16 and 17 May.
According to a media statement issued by the organisation, this is in light of the recent Auditor-General report on the performance of municipalities and the service delivery progress and challenges in various Thabo Mofutsanyana municipalities.
It further states that the primary objective of the summit is to engage all key stakeholders in local government on progress and challenges facing municipalities as well as to develop a comprehensive plan, focused on the delivery of services in all the district municipalities, especially those facing consistent service delivery challenges.
The summit will resume with an opening address by the regional chairperson Thabo Mokoena.
